Two-Component Epoxy System for Locking Casing Joints
BESTOLIFE® Bee-Lok is an economical, two-component epoxy system designed to replace welding for locking casing joints on bottom lengths. Formulated with 25% metallic zinc, Bee-Lok enhances sealing performance and reduces joint galling while effectively preventing joint loosening.
Each kit includes a base resin, catalyst, and applicator for easy use. The epoxy mixture has a pot life of 75 minutes under normal conditions and cures fully within 24 hours. To break connections, heat the joint between 500°F and 600°F.
Applications
- Locking casing joints on bottom lengths
- Welding alternative for rotary-shouldered and non-interference tubing and casing connections
To Apply
- Empty the catalyst into the base epoxy resin and mix thoroughly
- Use the applicator (flat knife) to cover the male threads with the mixture and make up the connection
- Once applied, let cure for 24 hours
